An invitation to double categories
I will give a gentle introduction to double categories, a generalization of categories. Through examples from different areas of mathematics, I will illustrate how some basic theorems apply to these structures. I will also show how enjoyable diagrammatic reasoning can be. No prior knowledge of category theory is required.
