We describe the Kerr spacetime, which is a rotating black hole solution to Einstein’s field equations. Using the invariant properties of the geometry, we can describe the structure of the black hole horizons, the frame dragging regions, and ultimately, the photon region where light is trapped into spherical orbits in a volume in the spacetime, and discuss the physical implications of the existence of these structures.
